OBrien Clark donates to Baw Baw L2P.
In May the team at OBrien Real Estate Clark proudly donated $500 to the Baw Baw L2P program.
The team at OBrien Warragul and Drouin donate to a local organisation every month as part of their ‘Creating Opportunities’ program which is designed to provide support and exposure to organisations that are helping those who need it most in the local community.
About Baw Baw L2P:
The TAC L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program has emerged as a beacon of hope for countless young learners who face barriers to obtaining the required driving experience. This community-based initiative, partially funded by the TAC and managed by the Department of Transport and Planning, aims to provide invaluable on-road driving opportunities to those who would otherwise struggle to fulfill the minimum experience criteria.
Through the program, local councils or not-for-profit community agencies collaborate to deliver mentor driving supervision, granting access to young individuals who lack a qualified supervisor or a vehicle, or simply cannot afford professional driving lessons. Learners must demonstrate their lack of access to a safe vehicle for the mandated 120 hours of practice or a licensed supervisor to be eligible.
How can you help?
The program is looking for more volunteer mentors. By becoming a mentor, you have the power to make a lasting difference in the lives of local learners. Your guidance and expertise will empower them to overcome obstacles and develop the confidence needed to navigate the roads safely. If you are interested in becoming a mentor please go to the website: www.bawbawl2p.org or call Coordinator Julie Kleverlaan on 0408 039 091.
