Nick Kearsey, Director of OBrien Torquay, has been a proud Surf Coast local for the past 12 years, after growing up in the leafy north eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

After graduating with a degree in Applied Chemistry, Nick built a successful career in chemical sales, managing multi-million-dollar accounts across a wide span of years. But after relocating to Torquay, the commute was negating the benefits of the coastal lifestyle, and he decided that a career change was in order. With an interest in real estate that had been fostered at a young age, a skillset that was perfectly aligned to helping people realise their property dreams, and a passion for the place he calls home, he embarked on his new vocation and has never looked back.

Nick, who has a reputation for delivering outstanding service and exceptional results, describes himself as being friendly and authentic and prides himself on fostering long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect; he operates on the pretence that if you treat people the right way, you’ll have a customer for life. He also believes that it’s imperative to understand the needs of his clients to ensure that any advice provided is appropriate to their personal situation.  

Outside of work, Nick, who has a wife and two children, enjoys biking, surfing, beach walks, and soaking up the best of the Surf Coast lifestyle; he’s also heavily involved in the local community through a number of channels. He’s active in several junior sporting clubs, has been a part of the Torquay Lions Club since 2013, is on the Lions Village Torquay Board of Management, and is a member of the Torquay College school council.
